# 0.1.2 empty update test This is a resource-only smoke test, not an updater executable upgrade. - Repository: `https://git.childish-ghost.com/LukeMackin/Tendra` - Component: `updater-smoke-test` - Channel: `stable` - Version: `0.1.2` - Sequence: `12` - Service manager: `none` - Key ID: `test-publisher-1` - Public key: `gq6mAIcaTIJJWS13MPRkt/hyBj8n1XN6tqBI9i1rXiE=` - Suggested isolated root: `/var/lib/tendra-updater-smoke-test` Configure these values using `sudo tu`, menu 1. Start with automatic installation disabled, then choose menu 3 to inspect the candidate and menu 4 to apply it. To exercise unattended operation, explicitly enable automatic installation and choose menu 5 (foreground watch; Ctrl+C stops the process). The installed version is recorded in `state.json` under the configured root. The active `versions//VERSION` file must read `0.1.2`. Repeated checks should skip the same sequence. A rollback requires an older installed version; a first installation of this test does not by itself test rollback or service restarts. Only VERSION, placeholder.json and README.txt are in the ZIP. No application, service, user data, real local configuration, token or private signing key is included. Use a separate configuration and root instead of an existing product configuration. The public key is for this isolated test component only. The signed metadata expires 30 days after creation. Later tests need fresh signed metadata with a higher sequence. A successful smoke test does not establish updater self-upgrade, production-service recovery or physical power-loss safety.
